Having made the decision to rent my large collection of beautiful vintage china for weddings and corporate events I decided to set up a Vintage Bridal photo shoot to launch the china.
The photo shoot became a creative collaboration between a team of likeminded individuals who appreciate vintage style and a slightly “edgy” look. The Orangery at Goldney Hall Clifton Bristol was the chosen venue where Natalie Parsons provides a helpful and professional service.
The china on the tables reflected the chosen eras with an eclectic mix of china on an additional table to show case the range in my collection. The chairs were dressed by Kathryn King of Ambience venue styling and the different coloured organza bows were matched to the china.
Penn O`Gara and Cathy Price from the Handmade Corset Company produced gowns corsets and fascinators to create three different looks a burlesque bride a 1930`sbride and a 1950`s bride.
Claire Nicholson from The Wildebunch a Clifton based florist interpreted these eras. Dramatic deep red roses set in a silver coffee pot provided an unusual table setting and our burlesque brides bouquet contained chocolate coloured lilies and deep purple feathers . Our 1930`s bride carried a posy of amnesia roses and this was reflected in the table setting of amnesia roses in eclectic containers. Our 1950`s bride carried cream roses set with pearls and ice blue ribbon and again Claire matched the table setting to provide a cool glacial feel.
Annabella Hodge an independent makeup artist styled the make up to reflect the eras and enhance the natural beauty of our models.
SK109 hairdressing team from Coldharbour road Westbury Park Bristol created hair styles to reflect the eras with a modern twist.
Sandra Brain from Mmm Yummy Cakes provided us with beautiful cup cakes which filled up my three tier cake stands and were demolished with great enthusiasm.
My friends were drafted in as “wedding guests” and a fun afternoon was had by all culminating in afternoon tea for the cast and crew.
Simon Mosse and Paul O'Connor were the photographers for the day and succeeded in making the cast feel very relaxed and comfortable.
